The destination was a small building materials company with around 20 employees. Having come across this on a visit to the neighborhood, they wished to pay a visit to for the first time. The two were received together and asked to wait.
After a while, the owner of the small business came in. Pointing to Burkhard Reploh, the owner asked who he was. He introduced himself as a Haver & Boecker employee. Then the owner pointed to the representative’s employee. Naturally, he also introduced himself. Once again, the owner pointed to Burkhard Reploh: “You’re coming with me!” and looking at the representative: “You stay there!” Hour after hour passed. Phoning Burkhard Reploh to find out what was going on, the representative was annoyed with the business owner, who’d been under the mistaken impression that a machine would be more expensive if a representative was present at the sale. The anger dissipated when Burkhard Reploh returned with an order for a semi-automatic 1-spout turbine packer.
