Beachvolleyball Stadion - Olympische Spiele 2004

Als vom 14. bis 25. August 2004 die 96 teilnehmenden Beachvolleyballer aus aller Welt um olympische Medaillen spielten, stand ihnen dafür ein neues Stadion zur Verfügung, das „Olympic Beach Volleyball Centre“. Es wurde auf 123.000 Quadratmetern an der südattischen Küste in Faliro gebaut, 25 Kilometer vom olympischen Dorf entfernt, und bietet Platz für maximal 9.600 Zuschauer, 110 Journalisten und 30 Fotografen.
Für die Verkleidung der vorderen und rückwärtigen Stadionwände lieferte HAVER & BOECKER an die 730 m² Architekturgewebe vom Typ MULTI-BARRETTE 8123. Die 5,60 Meter langen und 2,40 Meter breiten Gewebebahnen wurden von oben über eingearbeitete Rundstäbe aufgehängt und unten mit Zugfedern an Konsolen gespannt. Zur Zwischenbefestigung dienen ebenfalls eingearbeitete Rundstäbe mit aufgeschobenen Pendellaschen.
Die Gewebefassade dient in erster Linie als Sonnenschutz für die Bürogebäude des "Faliro Olympic Complex".
