University Library of Nitra

The University Library of Nitra received a polygonal cladding of the architectural mesh MULTI-BARRETTE 8301.
The University Library of Nitra received a facade of wire mesh elements type Multi-Barrette 8301. The elements are ~ 1.31 m wide and installed polygonally and therefore create a homgenuous second skin of the circular building.
It creates a light, transparent skin through its large open area.
This wire mesh façade serves as effective sunscreen and enhances the building's appearance at the same time.
In total HAVER & BOECKER supplied 920 m² of mesh in ready-to-install panels and supported the local installation company during the installation.
Building of the year 2011
The University Library of Nitra won the competition “Building of the year 2011”.
Among other things, the façade cladding made of stainless steel wire cloth convinced the jury. It is an effective sun protection and it enhances the building's appearance at the same time.
