Moderne Innenraumgestaltung mit HAVER Architekturgewebe
In unmittelbarer Nähe zur Spree befindet sich die älteste Kirche im Cottbuser Kreis: Die Martinskirche in Cottbus-Madlow. Die denkmalgeschützte Dorfkirche stammt aus dem späten 14 Jahrhundert. Der Innenraum des gotischen Kirchenbaues konnte 2015 vom Berliner BvdM Architekten frei von denkmalpflegerischen Gestaltungsauflagen umgestaltet werden.
Der Abschuss des Langschiffes bildet ein raumhohes „Lichtkreuz“ vor dem Altarfenster. Vier Rahmen mit dem HAVER Architekturgewebe TEXTURA 1991 sind so angeordnet, dass das zwischen den Geweberahmen hindurchfallende Tageslicht ein Kreuz erkennen lässt.
Nimmt das von außen kommende Tageslicht ab, so verschwindet das Kreuz zugunsten eines durch Faltung der Edelstahlgewebe entstehenden Strahlenkranzes.
