H₂ filtration with wire mesh
Particle filtration for maximum efficiency
Foreign particles in the hydrogen stream are critical when it comes to gas quality and can lead to damage, blockages and loss of efficiency in downstream processes. Targeted filtration is therefore essential for maintaining system performance and process reliability over the long term.
Both chemical and mechanical filter technologies play a decisive role here. Chemical filters are used to filter out trace gases from the hydrogen, e.g. H2O, CO2 or nitrogen. Mechanical filtration through porous mesh structures physically removes particles from the hydrogen stream so as to protect sensitive components against wear and impurities.
Wire mesh enables highly efficient mechanical filtration and is used at various points along the hydrogen value chain. Together with our customers, we develop tailor-made solutions to make the future of hydrogen technology both safe and efficient.
