Gustavo Richter and his brother Fritz played a major role in this as our local representatives.
Gustavo, who made a rather modest impression, had a hobby that didn’t really fit with this image: Racing cars. All his passengers were fascinated when he tried to cover many a distance faster in his “racing car” than by plane. There are many anecdotes surrounding this fact.
When Gustavo Richter retired to his cottage in Brates near St. Moritz, we were represented by the newly founded ASSI in Milan, headed by one of Richter's confidants, Gianni Gobbo-Gherbassi. We’re still working with the agency today, with Gianni Gobbo’s son, Giorgio Gobbo, now representing our interests. He’s more of a Piaggo scooter enthusiast than a racing car.
