Containment: Prevent contamination!
As much as necessary - as little as possible
Highly active substances are increasingly being used in chemical and pharmaceutical production - which also increases the demands on containment.
Prevent the escape of reactive or toxic substances during processing and protect your personnel and the environment from contamination. At the same time, ensure the efficiency of your processes: Even the loss of small quantities of product is an economic loss.

Containment prevents hazardous substances from escaping from the production process (personal protection) or a product from being contaminated by foreign substances in the environment (product protection). It includes processes, facilities, rooms, infrastructures, organizational measures and personal protective equipment.
All areas in which employees could be exposed must be comprehensively considered and included. This includes maintenance and cleaning as well as analysis and transportation to the laboratory. Even if significantly smaller quantities are handled here, these processes must be included in the overall concept.
Containment solutions serve to prevent contamination in three directions:
- That of the product by the operator
- Of the operator by the product
- Cross-contamination between different products
In addition to the safety aspect for the personnel at the production site and the economic losses due to loss of substance, consumer protection also contributes to the need for a containment system.
If you look at your system including all components, you will realize that containment is primarily a question of interfaces and how to avoid them. Every transition between two components is a potential leak. Finding a suitable and economical containment solution for your application requires know-how. Productivity is certainly an important driver for selecting the right system. We will find an optimum solution tailored to your needs.
