My name is Anish Joy and I come from Kerala, the smallest state in the South of India.
After my Pre-Degree I started to learn German, as it was my intention to step into the field of technology. As Germany is a leading country in the development and manufacturing of industrial machines, it has been my strong wish to get a profound training in a German Company.
I am very lucky and thankful to HAVER & BOECKER in Oelde for offering me such a good chance.
In August 2010 I came to Oelde and I started a practical course at HAVER & BOECKER. The start in Germany was hard for me. I was confronted with a different country, a new language, different culture, food and climate. But with the help of many people here in Oelde I settled down quickly. The management of HAVER & BOECKER has been very understandable in assisting me in many ways. I am living in a flat which I share with a trainee from Malaysia.
During the passed year I learned the basics of the engineering trade. In the evenings I attended classes in order to improve my German language, a condition to follow the theoretical instructions.
In September 2011 I started the apprenticeship as mechatronic at the training center of HAVER & BOECKER and I am very grateful for the assistance given by the instructors. After the completion of the apprenticeship it is my wish to work for HAVER & BOECKER in Germany in order to get more experience. My intention is to work in their subsidiary in India in years to come.
My freetime is filled with studies and, from time to time, I play Badminton in the Sportsclub in Oelde.
In the meantime I have made many friends and I feel being accepted.
I am very proud and thankful to God for the given opportunity.
